Just in time for the start of the summer season, Audile have introduced Martin Mac 700 profiles to the lighting hire stock. These have been straight out on Gatecrasher Summer Sound System and then onto BeachBreak Live for acts including The Enemy, The Wombats and The Cribs. For those not familiar with the 700, this mid-sized moving head offers extremely bright output from a compact unit, with full CMY colour mixing, zoom and an animation wheel alongside the usual features.

Audile have had a busy January installing two nightclubs in Manchester. First to open was The Club (aka Paradise Factory), which now has Funktion One systems based around Resolution Four, Resolution One and F-218 speakers driven by MC-2 and QSC amplifiers with XTA processing. The DJ booths feature Allen & Heath, Pioneer and Technics products, with Audile supplying more specialist units from their hirestock when required by specific DJs. One week later Area 51 also opened it's doors, with Audile installing Funktion-One Resolution Four, Resolution One, F-81 and F-221 speakers, again with MC-2 amplifiers, XTA processing and Pioneer DJ equipment. Audile also installed the lighting systems, featuring Clay Paky Miniscans, Martin Atomic strobes, I-Pix Satellite LED fixtures and JEM smoke machines, with Avolites and Pulsar control.

Audile have expanded their Funktion One hire inventory in order to meet
the increasing demand for the systems. More Resolution Four speakers and
F-218 subs have been purchased, along with additional MC-2 E-series amplifiers
and XTA processors. Resolution One speakers have also been added to the
inventory, and XTA-powered F-121 subs are on order.
The Resolution Five speakers have also been upgraded to the complete current
specification, benefiting from improved drivers and cabinets.

Audile have purchased a Rane TTM-57SL scratch mixer for hire stock. Adding in-built Serato hardware to the superlative TTM-56 mixer, widely regarded as the finest scratch mixer available, the TTM-57SL is fast becoming the choice of hip-hop and R'n'B DJs worldwide. For those not familiar with Serato, the system interfaces standard decks or CD players to a laptop-based MP3 playback system, allowing DJs to carry their entire record collection on their laptop, but still manipulate the recordings as if they were pressed on vinyl or CD. The TTM-57 now eliminates the need for DJs to carry the hardware interface in addition to their laptop, and means sound engineers will no longer be faced with patching the system into the DJ mixer mid-gig. For conventional DJs, though, the Serato hardware is transparent and the mixer functions exactly as the TTM-56.
